Our Story

I grew up in rural Nova Scotia with a woodlot right in my backyard. The woods were my playground — from childhood games to cutting Christmas trees as a teenager. That connection to the forest never left me.

Although my career began in human services, the pull to work in the woods eventually brought me back to my roots. In 2016, I picked up a saw and began thinning trees for a local contractor. That experience laid the groundwork for what would come next.

In 2021, I started this company with just one other employee, working on roughly 100 hectares. By 2025, our team had grown to 10 employees, along with trusted subcontractors, completing silviculture work on more than 1,000 hectares across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
This work is tough. It’s hot, cold, messy, and full of bugs. Some days make you want to quit. But at the end of the day, seeing how the forest is transformed — healthier, stronger, better — makes it worth it. There’s real pride in that.
